A small skiff is docked near Harborwalk in Georgetown,
 South Carolina. Some historians believe that Georgetown
 is the site of North America's first European settlement.
Called San Miguel de Guadalupe,
 it was founded by the Spanish in 1526,
but lasted only a very short time.
